Dr. Vikramjit Singh Sahney, M.P., Rajya Sabha form Punjab today vowed to provide free skills and jobs to 10,000 youth in Delhi and Punjab from various World Class and Multi Skill Development Centres in Delhi and Punjab run by him.
Dr. Sahney was speaking at the Founder’s Day celebrations of Sun Foundation which started serving the society 27 years ago and did exemplary work during covid, skilling rural women, rehabilitation of Afghan refugees and various other calamities.
Shri Sahney also shared his dream of transforming ITIs into IITs where he had adopted 10 ITIs in Punjab.
Dr. Sahney also thanked Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Hon’ble Minister for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship for appointing him as Vice Chairman for National Apprenticeship Council. Shri Sahney requested the trade and industry to employ the youth as apprenticeship for on the job training for which government will support financially.
