Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Wednesday held a ‘Jan Ashirwad Yatra’ in support of Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate Chaitar Vasava from Bharuch Lok Sabha constituency in Gujarat.
A large number of people gathered in his yatra. Seeing the crowd of lakhs of people, Mann said that there is a tsunami of Aam Aadmi Party in Gujarat. To be honest, I have not seen such an atmosphere even in Punjab. He said that the victory of AAP candidate Chaitar Vasava is 100 percent certain, it is just yet to be announced.
He said that the BJP is afraid of Arvind Kejriwal. That is why they arrested Kejriwal, implicating him in a false case as part of a conspiracy so that he could not campaign in the Lok Sabha elections. There is only one leader in the country who can challenge the BJP and Narendra Modi, that is Arvind Kejriwal.
Mann said that the BJP has arrested Arvind Kejriwal but it cannot stop him because Arvind Kejriwal is not just a person, he is an idea. You can put Kejriwal’s body in jail but how will you arrest his thinking?
Mann said that the BJP had also arrested Chaitur Vasava and his wife. I went to meet him in jail. BJP thought that he would not return. But he came out and is here today fighting against the dictatorship of the BJP.
He said that God is watching everything. When oppression and injustice gets prevalent, then God cleans it. He said that on May 7, the response to the BJP’s dictatorship is the ‘jharoo’ button. The BJP is destroying the country’s democracy and constitution.
He said that the Aam Aadmi Party is a party of common people. Only here the common people get an opportunity and platform. In Punjab, 92 out of 117 seats belong to the Aam Aadmi Party, out of which 80 were first time MLAs. They are 28-29 years old and come from humble backgrounds. But they defeated all the stalwarts of Punjab.
This is democracy. Whenever the public wants, a person is on the throne and whenever the public wants, the same person is on the ground. The BJP is unable to understand this. But in this election, the public will tell this to the BJP with their votes.
He said that there is only one leader in the country who can challenge the BJP and Narendra Modi, he is Arvind Kejriwal. The BJP is afraid of Arvind Kejriwal. That is why BJP conspired to arrest Kejriwal by implicating him in false cases so that he could not campaign in the Lok Sabha elections.
Arvind Kejriwal’s only fault was that he built mohalla clinics for the treatment of the poor and improved the condition of government hospitals. He built world class government schools in Delhi for the education of the children. He made electricity and water free so that the common people can get some much needed financial relief.
Mann said that today the people of Gujarat have proved that they are ready for the change. This road show in Bharuch and the massive crowd in it is a testimony to this. He said that I thank you from the bottom of my heart for coming in such large numbers even in this heat.
He said that this time the people will exact the price from the BJP for all its misdeeds. The people of Bharuch and Gujarat are fed up with the BJP. This time the people are ready to vent their anger through their votes.
