Former Punjab ADGP Gurinder Singh Dhillon IPS, who recently opted for VRS and quit his job has joined the Congress ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
Punjab Congress in-charge Davinder Yadav inducted him into the party. Dhillon’s wife and son were also present during the press conference held in Delhi.
It is in the air that Congress can field Gurinder Dhillon for Lok Sabha Elections from Ferozepur. The party is yet to announce its candidate for Ferozepur even as it has announced candidates for all other 12 seats of Punjab.
Gurinder Singh Dhillon last week applied for VRS, which was instantly approved by the Punjab government.
