Amrita Warring, the wife of Punjab Pradesh Congress President and candidate of the Congress party from Ludhiana Lok Sabha constituency Amarinder Singh Raja Waring, has apologized for the controversial statement she made yesterday.
Amrita made unsavory and unwarranted comments while addressing an election rally in favor of the Congress candidate from Bathinda, Jeet Mahinder Singh Sidhu.
Amrita Warring had clearly said that the Congress symbol of hand was the ‘Panjab’ of Guru Nanak and she was seeking votes for Guru Nanak
‘s Panjab.
Amrita Warring’s controversial statement landed her in a soup as religious and political personalities criticized her for making such a statement. SGPC and Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Raghbir Singh also came forward to slam Amrita Warring for her ‘highly objectionable utterings’.
Apologizing for her statement by posting a video on social media today, Amrita Warring said that if she had inadvertently hurt someone’s feelings with her statement, then she apologizes to Waheguru and Sangat with folded hands. She said that Waheguru is always forgiving. She hoped that the sangat too would forgive her.
