Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt’s) candidate from Lehragaga constituency, MLA and former Finance Minister, Mr. Parminder Singh Dhindsa while coming down heavily on Punjab Chief Minister, Sh. Charanjit Singh Channi said that Channi led Congress Government has certainly failed in ensuring justice to the Sikh Community in the sacrilege cases.
“If a coalition government of Shiromani Akali Dal (Sanyukt), BJP and Punjab Lok Congress will be formed in Punjab, strict action would be taken against the culprits by conducting an impartial inquiry into the incidents of indecency on priority basis,” added Mr. Dhindsa.
He said that Punjab Chief Minister, Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi, Deputy Chief Minister, Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa and Punjab Congress President, Mr. Navjot Singh Sidhu had made many false promises in the past claiming to bring justice in the sensitive sacrilege cases, which had hurt the feelings of Sikhs.
“By now it has been made clear that how the Channi led Congress Government has betrayed the people of the State with their fake promises of ensuring justices to the Sikh Community in the sacrilege incidents,” said Mr. Dhindsa.
Mr. Parminder Singh Dhindsa said that Chief Minister Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi and Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa have not been able to identify the culprits in the recent incidents of indecency which took place at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib after Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib and they should immediately resign on moral grounds.
“Considering the lax attitude of the Punjab Government in sensitive cases like desecration of Guru Granth Sahib Ji, a high-level inquiry into this incident is required and for this, a committee of existing judges has been constituted under the supervision of High Court. Conducting an impartial inquiry in this matter is the need of so that the culprits and conspirators behind such incidents can be identified,” asserted Mr. Dhindsa.
Mr. Dhindsa also slammed the Channi government for failing to maintain law and order in the State said that Mr. Charanjit Singh Channi and his ministers seem to be more focused on saving their political positions rather than thinking about the people of the state. Mr. Dhindsa alleged that even Navjot Singh Sidhu was acting for his own hidden political agenda and benefit by pretending to be a benefactor of Punjab.
