On the fifth day of the ongoing Sri Ram Katha at Punjab Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh, Mr. Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Governor of Himachal Pradesh attended the katha as the special invitee. He was welcomed by Governor Punjab, Shri Banwarilal Purohit and was blessed by Sant Vijay Kaushal Ji Maharaj.
Listening to Sri Ram Katha is a matter of great fortune and I am happy to have got the opportunity to attend Sri Ram Katha, said Mr. Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar in his brief address.
He said that Lord Rama is the unifying force in this land of diverse cultures and geographies. From North to South and from East to West, in every nook and corner of the country, Lord Rama is worshiped. People may invoke him as Ram or Ramanna or by any other name but His grace is the ultimate unifying force. Lord Sri Ram is the one who brings unity in all diversity. It is our responsibility to remember his teachings and adopt them in our day of life.
Shri Vijay Kaushal Maharaj through various incidents of the life of Lord Rama called upon people to give due respects and regard to parents and seek their blessings. He said that rather than trying to seek blessings of Lord Almighty by running from one place of worship to another, serve your parents. Reverence to parents is reverence to Almighty. The blessings of the parents and the Guru are most sincere and from the core of heart; They mean the most. So, if you cannot serve your parents at least do not heart them.
He also highlighted the importance of Guru in life. He cautioned the people against the miracle performers and asked them to be the disciple to the persons whose company brings out the best in you and pushes you towards reforming yourself.
The Katha was attended by large number of devotees. On April 28, 2022, the sixth day of Ram Katha, the Governor of Gujarat, Shri Acharya Devrat will be the Chief Guest.
