Punjab Youth Congress (PYC) would join hands with the Capt Amarinder Singh government to propagate the achievements of three years of state government.
Brinder Singh Dhillon president of PYC said here today that state executive committee of PYC would hold a meeting at Ludhiana on March 15 to draw strategy for reach out to people with government achievements.
Dhillon said that Punjab government under the leadership of Capt Amarinder Singh had made unprecedented progress in key sectors with focus on youth. He said achievements were laudable particularly in field of providing employment to over two lakh youth in private sector and now thrust will be on giving over one lakh jobs in state government departments.
Dhillon further said that providing free education to all students Upto 12th class was a revolutionary step. He said that technical education is another field where government has worked hard.
PYC president said that all these achievements would take Punjab forward. The fiscal health of government has improved as it was visible in the budget presented by Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal. He said it was duty of youth Congress to supplement the efforts of Capt Amarinder Singh government. The PYC will fill the gap between government and people and counter the false propaganda by opposition parties.
He said that PYC will also give it’s suggestions to the government to make policies with focus on youth. He said that decision to withdraw two year extension in service of retired employees was major step towards welfare of youth.
