LUDHIANA, JANUARY 3 2024-
Two students, namely Dr Loveleen Kaur, a former student and Mrs Shikha Sharma, a Ph.D. student of the Department of Extension Education and Communication Management, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), have brought laurels to the University by receiving prizes at the first International Extension Education Congress on the “Rural Transformation and Sustainable Agri-food System through Community Based Organization Oriented Extension Strategy” organized by the Society of Extension Education at the Rajasthan Agricultural Research Institute, Jaipur, from December 18-20, 2023.
Dr Loveleen Kaur has been honored with the “Ganga Singh Chauhan Memorial Award” for her extraordinary contribution to extension education. She worked under the guidance of Dr Kanwaljit Kaur, Professor, Department of Extension Education and Communication Management, PAU, while pursuing her Ph.D degree.
Mrs Shikha Sharma received the “Best Poster Presentation Award” for her presentation on ‘Resource conservation and sustainable development through Indigenous traditional knowledge.’ She is pursing Ph.D under the guidance of Dr Kiranjot Sidhu, Professor, Department of Extension Education and Communication Management, PAU.
Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU; Dr Kiran Bains, Dean, College of Community Science, and Dr Kiranjot Sidhu, Head, Department of Extension Education and Communication Management, congratulated the students for their accomplishment.
