Ms Khushboo, a Ph.D. Chemistry student at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), has been awarded the “Best Oral Presentation Award“ for her outstanding research on innovative fertilizer technologies for synchronized nutrient management and soil health.
She received this prestigious award at the national seminar on “Alternative Fertilizers for Environmental Smart Agriculture,” held on September 26.
The seminar was organized by the Delhi Chapter of the Indian Society of Soil Science in association with the Division of Soil Science and Agricultural Chemistry, ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi.
Ms Khushboo is currently pursuing her Ph.D dissertation on “Iron-Impregnated Nanocomposite (s) Mediated Controlled-Release Iron as Soil Fertilizer and Seed Treatment for Rice and Soybean” under the guidance of Dr Anjali Sidhu, a Nanotechnologist (Chemistry) in the Department of Soil Science, PAU.
Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU; Dr Shammi Kapoor, Dean, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities; Dr Manjeet Kaur Sangha, Head, Department of Chemistry; and Dr Anjali Sidhu, Major Advisor, congratulated Ms Khushboo for her achievement.
