Ms Chahak Jain, a Ph.D. student of the Department of Biochemistry, College of Basic Sciences and Humanities, Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), secured the “Best Oral Presentation Award” during the ICAR-sponsored International Conference on “Current Innovations and Technological Advances in Agriculture and Allied Sciences (CITAAS-2024)”.
This event was organised by the Faculty of Agriculture, Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare; Department of Horticulture, Government of Punjab; ISASTR, Noida and Just Agriculture Education Group from August 29-31, 2024.
Ms Chahak Jain presented her Ph.D. research work on “Dark fermentation of sugarcane biomass hydrolysate by Enterobacter aerogenes for hydrogen production”. She is currently pursuing her research work under the guidance of Dr Monica Sachdeva Taggar, Biochemist in the Department of Renewable Energy Engineering.
Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, Vice-Chancellor, PAU; Dr Manav Indra Singh Gill, Dean, Postgraduate Studies; Dr Manjit Singh, Dean, College of Agricultural Engineering and Technology; Dr Manjeet Kaur Sangha, Head, Department of Biochemistry and Dr Rajan Aggarwal, Head, Department of Renewable Energy Engineering, congratulated the student and wished her all the success in her future endeavours.
