In this regard, laws were passed in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha in 2010 and 2012 to prevent illegal human trafficking, but even with the creation of such laws, no meaningful effort could be made to stop the trafficking and still this process is continuing. Due to which many Punjabi youths are still locked up in the prisons of the United States as undocumented immigrants.
During the meeting, Chahal advised that a Manpower Export Corporation should be established at the Punjab level to legally send the unemployed youth of Punjab abroad for employment. The issue of property disputes of migrant Indians in Punjab was also prominent. It was discussed that a large number of property disputes of migrant Punjabis are pending in the civil courts of Punjab, which are likely to take several years to settle. Options are open to move such cases to higher courts.
The Punjab government, in its law passed by the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, has authorized Sub-Divisional Magistrates to restore possession of disputed properties to the rightful owners while court proceedings continue unhindered, by factions occupying migrant Punjabis and their landed properties.
After giving the proof of the ownership of the concerned immigrant Punjabi, the possession of the landed property should be immediately handed over to the family of the concerned immigrant Punjabi who presented the ownership rights of that property and the occupying party should file a claim in the court to prove their ownership. should say for There was also a discussion regarding the implementation of such an act to provide relief to the affected parties from the Punjab government.
