The world renowed wetland at kanjli in district kapurthala would soon witness the complete transformation till November end 2020 as new cycling track, walk way and lighting are going on war footing.
Today reviewing the modernization work of kanjli wetland , Deputy commissioner Deepti Uppal has asked the officials to go an extra mile to complete this prestigious task as it will not only provide a fresh face to this world known wet land besides promoting it as a tourist place.
Deputy commissioner asked the executive engineer Bist Doab Mandal , Jalandhar to ensure the completion of remaining work in stipulated time frame.
She said that the Rs. 192 lakh to be spent on walk way, cycle track and 25 % work on this has already been completed besides completion of railing on both sides of wetland with Rs. 48.77 lakh. The work on railing was completed nearly 77 %.
Besides that rehabilitation of flour mills are also going on full swing with the expenditure of Rs. 27.24 lakh.
Deputy commissioner has asked the concerned officials to submit weekly report in the work progress of wetland.
