The Season 21 finale of *The Bachelorette* on ABC took an unexpected turn on Tuesday, Sept. 3 when Jenn Tran, 26, had to make a difficult decision between two final contestants: Devin Strader, a 28-year-old freight company owner from Houston, and Marcus Shoberg, a Miami-based veteran and entrepreneur.
After much deliberation, Jenn chose Devin and the two got engaged in a romantic proposal in Hawai’i, with Jenn taking the lead in popping the question. However, what seemed like a fairy-tale ending quickly unraveled once they returned home.
In a shocking revelation during the ‘After the Final Rose’ special, Jenn opened up to host Jesse Palmer about the sudden downfall of her relationship with Devin.
“He was making bold proclamations of love, and then suddenly the next day, it was like nothing,” Jenn shared.
“He denied ever being in love, and all the promises he made to me vanished,” she said.
