Jalandhar West MLA Rinku dedicates new bifurcated feeders in 66-KV Power Grid Sub Station to Public

To ensure uninterrupted power supply, streamline the power distribution and eliminating the problem of low voltage, Jalandhar West MLA Mr Sushil Kumar Rinku on Friday inaugurated new bifurcated feeders in the 66-KV power grid, Babrik Chowk substation to the public.

This facility has been set up in power grid substation at the cost of Rs 80 lakh.

Speaking after the inauguration ceremony, he said that problems of electric voltage fluctuation and unreliability of electricity supply would be completely wiped out and the residents of Dilbagh Nagar, Dilbagh Nagar Extension, Basti Sheikh, Basti Guzan, Kanshi Nagar, Kot Sadiq, BT Colony, Sai Colony, Ujala Nagar, New Ujala Nagar, Ghas Mandi, Hargobind Nagar and adjoining areas would get uninterrupted power supply.

Mr Rinku said that now this 66-KV substation has been connected with 200-KV power substation in Badshahpur and earlier it was receiving the power supply from 66-KV power substation in Sports and Surgical complex.

He lauded the efforts of the officials of Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) for setting up the power sub-station in this area which was struggling with various electricity-related issues.

Meanwhile, Chief Engineer Mr Jainendra Dania said that that a cost of Rs 80 lakh was incurred for ensuring the facility of double power-supply in this 66-KV substation.

On the occasion, Engineers Mr Som Nath Mahi, Mr HS Bansal, Mr Yogesh Kapoor, Mr Devinder Pal Singh, Mr Niraj Piplaani and others were present.
