Haryana State Vigilance Bureau has caught an employee of Haryana Roadways, Jind red-handed while accepting bribe worth Rs 10000 from a person in lieu of issuing a heavy driving training school certificate.
Sharing the details, a spokesperson of the Bureau informed that the arrested accused has been identified as Shree Bhagwan, posted as Najar branch clerk in Haryana Roadways, Jind.
A person from Jind has filed a complaint stating accused demanded money in lieu of issuing a heavy driving training school certificate for his son.
Acting on the complaint, a team of the Vigilance bureau conducted a raid and nabbed the accused official red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000.
A case under the Prevention of Corruption Act had been registered against the accused in Bureau’s police station, Karnal. A further investigation is underway.
