Haryana ACB arrests 3 officials of Gohana Food Supply Depot for accenting Rs.1.5-lakh bribe

In an operation, the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau team late in the evening arrested Depot Assistant- Ravinder and, Technical Assistant (Quality Control) Dharmender, both working at the Gohana Food Supply Depot in Sonipat district, red-handed while accepting a bribe of ₹1,45,000.

In this case, the Depot Manager, Nandan Singh, was arrested by the ACB team this morning. A case has been registered against the accused at the Rohtak Anti-Corruption Bureau Police Station and action has been taken.

Providing information about the arrest, a government spokesperson said that the Anti-Corruption Bureau team received information in which the complainant stated that he runs a rice mill in village Ghiload, district Rohtak, and has been awarded a milling tender for the year 2023-24 from the Haryana State Warehouse Corporation.

The complainant stated that he had already supplied 115 truckloads of rice to the Gohana Food Supply Depot. It was reported that in this matter, the accused Ravinder and Dharmendra were demanding a bribe of ₹1,50,000, threatening to fail the sample and raise issues related to weightage.

Confirming the matter, the ACB team planned to catch the accused and last evening they successfully arrested the accused Ravinder with ₹50,500 and the accused Dharmendra with ₹94,500. The involvement of the Depot Manager- Nandan Singh, was also found in this case, who was arrested by the ACB team this morning.

This entire action was carried out with transparency in the presence of witnesses. A case has been registered against the accused at the Rohtak Anti-Corruption Bureau Police Station and his arrest has been made. The investigation is ongoing.
