Food and Civil Supplies department has get registered a FIR in Mansa for bringing normal paddy from other states into Punjab under the guise of Basmati.
Food and Civil Supplies Minister Punjab Mr. Bharat Bhushan Ashu informed here today that a interstate Barricade has set up at Sardulgarh road where department officials stopped one truck comming from Rajasthan side and found that truck carrying a normal paddy into Punjab under the guise of Basmati.
Following which a FIR no 169 dated 04-10-21 had been got registered against Pal Singh and Gurmeet Singh under section 420 and 188 of IPC at Sardulgarh Police station.
Mr. Ashu further said that to check recycling /Bogus billing of peddy 150 flying squad had established through out the State.
