Congress on Tuesday appointed senior party leaders Charanjit Singh Channi and Mukesh Agnihotri as Senior Observers for the assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
Charanjit Singh Channi is a former Chief Minister of Punjab and is a Lok Sabha Member from Jalandhar.
Mukesh Agnihotri is the Deputy Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh.
A press statement issued by the party read, ‘Congress President has appointed Charanjit Singh Channi and Mukesh Agnihotri as the AICC Senior Observers for the ongoing assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir with immediate effect.’
