BJP will contest Parliamentary elections in Punjab in alliance with Akali Dal Samyukat led by Sardar Sukhdev Singh Dhindsa. This was disclosed BJP National Secretary Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa.
Talking to media after paying obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib and Durgiana Mandir along with team of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Mr. Jagdip Singh Kahlon besides others, Mr. Sirsa said that BJP has alliance with Shioromani Akali Dal Samyukat and party’s leadership has decided to contest all 13 seats on its own.
He said that though Akali Dal’s praise for Modi government was a welcome step but there was no talk of alliance at all and party had told us that we will contest all 13 seats on its own.
Responding to a question about I.N.D.I.A alliance Mr. Sirsa said that this was an opportunistic alliance of most corrupt leaders of the country and has been formed to save each other. He said that anybody can watch old videos of Delhi Chief Minister and AAP Convener Mr. Arvind Kejriwal who use to level serious allegations of corruption against NCP leader Mr. Sharad Pawar and Congress former President Mrs Sonia Gandhi besides others. He said that as Mr. Kejriwal was himself involved in corruption like liquor scam and other, he has forged alliance with those very people whom he used to label as corrupt.
On statement of Partap Singh Bajwa on alliance with AAP, BJP National Secretary said that he was himself surprised that when AAP government was arresting former Ministers of Congress on corruption charges how can they come together. He also said that both parties have no ideology of their own.
Lashing out at Punjab Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Mann, Mr. Sirsa said that he used to ridicule large security convoys of others and now he was himself using 200 car convoy for travelling. He said that AAP was looting government treachery of Punjab for promotion of their party.
He said that besides misusing government aircraft to ferry Mr. Kejriwal, Bhagwant Mann government was distributing Chairmenship to party leaders and was not trying to constitute Punjab Vidhan Parishad which will end up as another burden on treasury.
Earlier Mr. Sirsa along with team paid obeisance at Sachkhand Sri Darbar Sahib and later at Durgiana Mandir and thanked almighty for position given to him by the BJP high command. He also said that he was representatives of the Sikh community and whatever he got in life was all due to Sikh community and he will always remaing thankful to the community members.
