Amritsar district has taken the lead in Punjab in providing door-to-door government services, realizing Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann’s vision to bring government services to the people’s doorstep. Deputy Commissioner Mrs Sakshi Sawhney congratulated the employees behind this initiative, acknowledging their outstanding performance.
DTC Prince Singh said that Citizens can access 43 government services from the comfort of their homes by dialing 1076 or visiting the online service portal. He stated that Out of 8,001 applications, 6,496 received services on time, with only 15 cases not meeting the specified timeline. The district boasts a remarkable record of responding to citizens’ requests immediately, with no pending cases.
District Technical Coordinator Prince Singh shared that team members visit citizens’ homes, collect necessary documents, fill out forms, and provide the requested services. This initiative has benefited 6,511 people in Amritsar district so far.
Additional Deputy Commissioners Mrs Jyoti Bala and Mr Amit Sareen, Assistant Commissioner Gursimranjeet Kaur, and other officials attended the meeting on door-to-door services, chaired by Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney.
