AAP strongly condemns decision of Haryana government to honour police officials who opened fire on the farmers

Chandigarh, July 18 2024 (Yes Punjab News)

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has criticized the BJP government of Haryana and said that the Haryana government is going to honor those police officers who opened fire on the farmers of Punjab agitating on the Haryana Punjab border.

Senior leader and spokesperson of Aam Aadmi Party Punjab, Neel Garg said that this decision of the Haryana government is highly condemnable and unfortunate.

He said that the BJP always honors the people who hurt the farmers. By doing this, it is trying to humiliate the farmers of the country, especially Punjab.

Citing the example of former BJP Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni, Neel Garg said that Teni’s son hit and killed farmers with his vehicles in Lakhimpur-Kheri but Prime Minister Modi neither removed Teni from the cabinet nor took any action against his son.

He said that before becoming the Prime Minister in 2013, Narendra Modi himself had said that we will waive off the entire debt of the farmers and make a law on MSP as per the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission, but later Modi went back on his promise and betrayed the farmers of the country.

He did not fulfill even one of his promises related to the farmers, on the contrary, he tried to impose black agricultural laws on them to hand over the land and crops to his corporate friends, due to which more than 750 farmers died.

Neel Garg said that the BJP does not even believe in the Constitution and the court.

When the Punjab and Haryana High Court ruled that the Haryana government should clear the National Highway and allow the farmers to go to Delhi for peaceful protest, it went to the Supreme Court against this decision and lied there that the road was blocked by the farmers and not by the police.

This shows that the BJP does not believe in the court and the judicial system.
