AAP announces 4 Punjab candidates; Party’s list of 13 now complete

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced Lok Sabha candidates for the remaining four seats in Punjab. The party released the list on Tuesday.

The AAP has decided to field sitting MLAs in Gurdaspur, Ludhiana and Ferozepur. Mukatsar MLA Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar will contest for Ferozepur, Batala MLA Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi from Gurdaspur Lok Sabha constituency, Ludhiana central MLA Ashok Parashar Pappu will be AAP’s candidate for Ludhiana Lok Sabha and Pawan Kumar Tinu, who left Akali Dal to join the AAP few days ago, got ticket from Jalandhar.

In the previous two lists the party had already announced the nine Lok Sabha candidates. Five cabinet ministers of the AAP government are contesting elections in Punjab, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer from Sangrur, Gurmeet Singh Khuddian from Bathinda, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal from Amritsar,

Laljit Singh Bhullar from Khadoor Sahib and Dr Balbir Singh from Patiala. AAP is fielding Raj Kumar Chabbewal from Hoshiarpur, Gurpreet Singh GP from Fatehgarh Sahib, Karamjit Singh Anmol from Faridkot and AAP Punjab chief spokesperson Malvinder Singh Kang from Anandpur Sahib Lok Sabha seat.

In Punjab the Lok Sabha election will take place in the last phase on June 1st and the Aam Aadmi Party is eyeing all the Lok Sabha seats in Punjab.

AAP Punjab president and chief minister Bhagwant Mann said that the people of Punjab gave them a historic mandate in 2022 and this time too people will choose the politics of work of the AAP and all AAP candidates will win by huge margins.

Reacting to his candidature, Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar thanked national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, AAP Punjab president CM Bhagwant Singh Mann and national general secretary Dr Sandeep Pathak.

He said that the AAP will win the Ferozepur seat comfortably as Mann-led Punjab government has done exceptional work in two years. People are very happy and will vote only for the AAP.

On his candidacy from Ludhiana, Ashok Parashar Pappi said that he has been serving the people and this constituency for two years. People advocated for his candidacy.

He thanked his supporters and the AAP leadership for trusting him with this responsibility. He said that the people of Ludhiana have seen 10 years of Ravneet Bittu and they are utterly disappointed, they will not vote for him (Bittu).

Batala MLA Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi said that there is no competition, the Aam Aadmi Party will win smoothly in Punjab. We have worked hard for two years and people will award our pro-people works with their votes. No other party lived up to the promises they made, we delivered what we promised.

Pawan Kumar Tinu, after being announced as the AAP candidate from Jalandhar, said that he is very grateful to the AAP leadership and feels honoured to get this responsibility. He thanked all the volunteers of the party, constituency in-charge, block presidents and coordinators.

The AAP government is working for the common people with honesty and dedication. The Aam Aadmi Party is the party of common people of all backgrounds and sections. I’ll also fulfill my responsibility with honesty and hard work.
