Punjab govt.’s attempt to bifurcate SGPC a conspiracy to damage supremacy of Akal Takht: Sirsa

New Delhi, January 31, 2020 (Yes Punjab News)

The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC) President Mr. Manjinder Singh Sirsa has termed attempt by the Amarinder Singh led Punjab government to bifurcate the Shiromani Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee (SGPC) by filing an affidavit in Supreme Court as an attempt to damage supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib.

In a statement released here today, Mr. Sirsa said that attempts to subvert the Supreme Institution of the Sikhs Sri Akali Takht Sahib were made by Ahmedshah Abdali and Indira Gandhi besides others but they failed in their attempts.

He said that fresh effort by Punjab government will also meet same fate as Sikhs residing worldwide are proud on the SGPC which is Mini Parliament of Sikhs and it works under the supremacy of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. He said that Capt Amarinder Singh has also displayed same line of thinking like Indira Gandhi while filing this affidavit.

Mr. Sirsa said that enemies of Sikhs want to divide them into small units as committees. He said that on one hand persons like Patel are being praised for uniting India and on the other attempts by Congress minded people are being made to bifurcate Sikhs in small units.

He said that earlier too former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had stayed execution of such heinous designs to bifurcate the SGPC and now it is high time that he directs Capt Amarinder Singh to immediately stop his efforts.

Mr. Sirsa said that Sikh community will not tolerate attempts to bifurcate Mini Parliament of Sikhs into small units and those conspiring on this issue will be taught a lifetime lesson.
