The Punjab Government will organise a grand religious event ‘Ek Shaam Bhagwan Shiv Ke Naam’, dedicated to Lord Shiva, at Atma Ram Kumar Sabha Ground, Patiala, on July 28 at 6:30 pm. This was disclosed by Advisor to Punjab Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department Deepak Bali.
He was accompanied by Aam Aadmi Party Urban District President and Chairman of District Planning Committee Tejinder Mehta, President of Sanatan Seva Samiti Vijay Sharma, Mayor Kundan Gogia and PRTC Chairman Advocate Harpal Juneja.
Addressing a press conference in Patiala, Deepak Bali said that Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Aam Aadmi Party National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal, Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia, Punjab Cabinet Ministers, MLAs and other prominent personalities will participate in the grand religious event as devotees.
He said that renowned devotional singer Shri Hansraj Raghuwanshi will perform devotional songs dedicated to Lord Shiva during the event and connect thousands of devotees with spirituality through his bhajans.
Advisor Deepak Bali said that for the first time in Patiala city, such a large-scale religious event is being organised at Atma Ram Kumar Sabha Ground on July 28 at 6:30 pm. He said that the Punjab Government led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann will extend full cooperation to the organisers for making all necessary arrangements for the convenience of devotees.
Describing the event as a unique blend of devotion, faith, belief and culture, he expressed hope that thousands of devotees from Patiala and adjoining districts will participate in the programme.
President of Sanatan Seva Samiti Vijay Sharma said that the event will further strengthen Punjab’s rich religious and cultural traditions, communal harmony and unity. He said that the main objective of this special initiative is to promote brotherhood, peace and religious harmony in the region.
Advisor Deepak Bali, Chairman Tejinder Mehta, Mayor Kundan Gogia and Chairman Harpal Juneja appealed to the residents of Patiala and nearby areas to participate in large numbers in this religious event and seek the blessings of Lord Shiva.
They informed that earlier the Punjab Government had commemorated the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji with great devotion and respect. The festival of the Christian community was also celebrated at the state level, while the 650th Parkash Purab of Sri Guru Ravidas Ji is also being celebrated on a grand scale. Besides, various programmes are being organised across Punjab for the promotion and propagation of Sanatan Dharma.
