Re-NEET gave me second chance, says MP topper Aryaman Solanki

Jabalpur, July 17, 2026
The cancellation of the original NEET-UG 2026 examination came as a setback for lakhs of medical aspirants across the country. But for Jabalpur’s Aryaman Solanki, the re-examination turned into an opportunity that helped him secure All India Rank (AIR) 46 and emerge as the Madhya Pradesh topper.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) declared the NEET-UG 2026 results late on Thursday night. The examination was conducted on June 21 after the earlier test was cancelled.

Around 20 lakh candidates appeared for the examination, which was held at 5,440 centres across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad.

Speaking to IANS, Aryaman said the announcement of the re-examination had initially left him disappointed as he was satisfied with his performance in the first test.

“When re-NEET was announced, it was a very depressing moment because my first examination had gone well. But then I realised that the examination was for nearly 20 lakh students and everyone deserved a fair chance. I accepted the decision and prepared again. The second examination helped me improve both my marks and my rank,” he said.

Aryaman said securing admission to AIIMS Delhi had been his dream since he started preparing for NEET.

“Every NEET aspirant dreams of studying at AIIMS Delhi. Today that dream has come true for me. Becoming the Madhya Pradesh topper is an achievement I will cherish throughout my life,” he said.

His father Phanindra Solanki said the result was a matter of pride for the entire family as well as Jabalpur. “It is a day of immense joy for us. Aryaman has made our family proud and has also brought laurels to Jabalpur. The biggest happiness is that his dream of securing a top rank and studying at AIIMS Delhi has been fulfilled,” he told IANS.

Congratulatory messages poured in for Aryaman after the results were announced, with teachers, relatives and well-wishers visiting the family. His success has also become an inspiring example for NEET aspirants, showing how determination and focused preparation can help overcome unexpected challenges.(Agency)
