The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Tarn Taran, has appealed to litigants, advocates, members of the Bar and the general public to actively participate in Samadhan Samaroh 2026, a nationwide initiative of the Supreme Court of India aimed at promoting amicable settlement of pending legal disputes through a consent-based dispute resolution mechanism.
The campaign, which commenced on April 21, 2026, will culminate in a Special Lok Adalat to be held at the Supreme Court of India on August 21, 22 and 23, 2026.
Opportunity for Speedy and Cost-Effective Justice
District and Sessions Judge, Tarn Taran, Kanwaljit Singh Bajwa, said the Special Lok Adalat provides litigants with an effective platform to resolve eligible pending disputes quickly, economically and through mutual consent, thereby avoiding prolonged litigation.
He urged eligible litigants and legal practitioners to take full advantage of the initiative by opting for settlement wherever feasible.
Physical and Online Participation
The DLSA informed that parties may participate in the Special Lok Adalat either physically or through virtual/online mode, making the process more accessible and convenient for litigants across the country.
Registration Extended Till July 31
Interested parties can register their eligible cases by submitting the prescribed Google Form.
The last date for submitting applications has been extended to July 31, 2026.
The DLSA advised litigants to complete the registration process well before the deadline to facilitate timely processing of applications.

For any assistance regarding eligibility, registration or the settlement process, litigants have been advised to contact the District Legal Services Authority, Tarn Taran.
The authority has appealed to all stakeholders to extend their cooperation to the initiative, describing it as an important step towards strengthening access to justice and ensuring early disposal of pending cases through consensual settlement.
