Tewari urges PM to sanction Pharmaceutical Park for Anandpur Sahib Parliamentary constituency

Chandigarh, Aug 26, 2022 (Yes Punjab News)
Sri Anandpur Sahib MP and National Spokesperson of the Congress Manish Tewari has urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to sanction a pharmaceutical park in his parliamentary constituency.

After raising the demand personally during his conversation with the Prime Minister on the occasion of the inauguration of the Homi Bhaba Cancer Hospital in Mohali on Wednesday, Tewari wrote a letter to the PM.

In the letter he said, his constituency is geographically contagious with Himachal Pradesh more so to the industrial town of Baddi which is already an established pharma hub. He said, setting up a pharmaceutical park here will be a natural and logical extension of the already existing set up in Baddi.

The MP said, it was the need of the hour as the people in the area have small land holdings between one to three acres.

He said, Mohali or the Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar is the fastest growing industrial hub especially for the fourth industrial revolution in Punjab.

“A large number of information technology, biotechnology, and other such institutions that are connected with the Fourth Industrial Revolution are currently located in Mohali”, he said, adding, “I would be obliged if an elevated road that connects the National Highway which comes from Delhi towards Chandigarh at Bannur up till Kharar is sanctioned by the Government of India and constructed by the National Highways Authority of India”.

This elevated road will not only ease the congestion on the Mohali airport road as well as facilitate the smooth movement of traffic but also act as an economic multiplier for the growth of Mohali city, Tewari added.
