Salman Khan Postpones UK Tour Following Pahalgam Terror Attack

Mumbai, April 28, 2025 (Yes Punjab News)

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan announced on Monday morning the postponement of his highly anticipated ‘Bollywood Big One’ tour in the UK, which was scheduled to take place on May 4th and 5th. The decision to reschedule the Manchester and London events comes as a mark of respect and solidarity following the recent tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir.

Salman Khan shared the news with his fans on Instagram, posting the tour’s official poster featuring a star-studded lineup including Sara Ali Khan, Tiger Shroff, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Kriti Sanon, Disha Patani, Sunil Grover, and Maniesh Paul, alongside the “Dabangg” actor himself. The poster was overlaid with the word “postponed,” clearly indicating the change in plans.

In his heartfelt caption, Salman Khan wrote: “In light of the recent tragic events in Kashmir, and with profound sadness, we have taken the difficult decision to request the promoters to postpone The Bollywood Big One shows, originally scheduled for May 4th and 5th in Manchester and London.”

Expressing his understanding of fan anticipation, he added, “We understand how much our fans were looking forward to these performances, we feel it is only right to pause during this time of grief.”

Concluding his message with an apology and a promise for future updates, Salman stated, “We sincerely apologise for any disappointment or inconvenience this may cause and deeply appreciate your understanding and support. New dates for the shows will be announced shortly.”

The devastating terror attack in the Baisaran Valley of Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir on April 22nd resulted in the tragic loss of approximately 26 lives, with reports suggesting that the terrorists targeted tourists based on their religious identity. The responsibility for this heinous act was claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, which emerged after the abrogation of Article 370 in the region.

Salman Khan joins a growing list of prominent Indian artists who have either canceled or postponed their scheduled events as a mark of respect for the victims of the Pahalgam attack. Earlier, renowned singers Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal also announced the cancellation of their respective concerts.

Shreya Ghoshal, in a social media statement on April 25th, conveyed the decision to cancel her upcoming show in Surat on April 26th, citing the recent tragic events. The organizers assured ticket holders of a full refund, which would be processed back to their original payment method.

Similarly, Arijit Singh had previously called off his scheduled concert in Chennai following the deeply upsetting news from Pahalgam.
