Rana Gurjeet Singh initiates Rs.3.6-cr development works, vows to personally monitor progress on weekly basis

Senior MLA Rana Gurjit singh today initiates the various development projects in kapurthala city to facilitates more than 16,000 population of the city with sewrage and drinkable water.

In a mark of respect, the MLA has asked the oldest person of Defence colony Charan Das (87) to start the digging process.

The MLA has said that under this project those areas would be covered with sewrage and water supply which were included under Municipal corporation,Kapurthala besides completing the earlier missing links of sewrage across the city.

He said that ” the Punjab Government has sanctioned Rs. 3.5 crore for this sewrage related project and he would personally monitor the progress of this project on weekly basis as it was the dire need of the people to cater more than 7000 people of the city.”

XEN sewrage board Sunny Gogna has informed that the project would be executed by the sewrage board which would be completed in next 6 months. The water supply lines of 6 KM and sewrage lines of 8 KM would be laid down by the board.

The project would be a gift to the people of Defence colony , Grovar colony, Santpura , Brahmkund and Mangi colony areas.

Earlier , the MLA has also starts the project to set up deep tubewell ( 650 feet ) with Rs.13 lakh which would be a lifeline for the 9000 people from Germany das park , officer colony , Jagjit park, Kaimpura

Shiv colony and mall road.

Prominent amongst present on the occasion included EO Municipal corporation Adarsh Kumar, XEN Sunny Gogna and councillors of the city.
