NIA summons to Sikh leaders at the behest of Modi Govt.: Brahmpura

Amritsar, January 19, 2021 (Yes Punjab News)
Shiromani Akali Dal (Taksali) President Ranjit Singh Brahmpura today slammed NIA (National Investigation Agency) for sending notices to various Sikh leaders who are participating in the farmers’ agitation.

Criticizing the Union Government, he said that the govt issued notices to various farmers, but they won’t bow before the National Investigation Agency.

He expressed surprise that the Modi government was intimidating the farmers and the agitators through the Central Investigation Agencies.

He further stated that about 125 farmers have been martyred but the Modi government has not cared to resolve the matter.

Welcoming the tractor parade on January 26, Brahmpura said that the party would extend all possible support to the farmers.

Mr. Brahmpura said that the farmers’ struggle has been going on for about 7 months at the state level across the country but the government made no efforts to resolve the crisis.

On the significance of the January 26 tractor parade, he said that while the government was celebrating Republic Day, the farmers on the streets of the capital would be made aware of the agricultural laws that the impact of pro-corporate and unconstitutional laws on all sections is inevitable.
