Akali Dal “Waris Punjab De” has announced that Member of Parliament Bhai Amritpal Singh will be projected as the party’s chief ministerial face for the 2027 Punjab Assembly elections, and two Deputy Chief Ministers will also be appointed.
The announcement was made by party patron Bapu Tarsem Singh while addressing a massive Panthic gathering held in Ludhiana.
The party received strong support in Ludhiana today as a large number of people participated in the event organised at Mundian Kalan, 33 Futa Road. The gathering was organised by senior party leader Gurpreet Singh Sonu, while Bapu Tarsem Singh attended as the chief guest. The huge turnout indicated that people in the state are seeking a Panthic government in the 2027 Assembly elections.
Addressing the gathering, Bapu Tarsem Singh said Bhai Amritpal Singh would be the party’s candidate for the Chief Minister’s post during the elections, and two Deputy Chief Ministers would be appointed from the Hindu and Dalit communities.
He said the party believes in participation from all sections of society. He further stated that bringing Akali Dal “Waris Punjab De” to power is essential to free Punjab from issues such as drug abuse, gangsterism, robbery and unemployment. He added that people want to see the next government formed in the state under the leadership of MP Bhai Amritpal Singh.
He also took a dig at parties that came to power through populist promises, saying people have now become disillusioned with them. He praised event organiser Gurpreet Singh Sonu and the local leadership for successfully conducting the programme.
Meanwhile, senior party leaders Paramjit Singh Johal, Prithipal Singh Batala, Rajiv Kumar Lovely, Sandeep Singh Rupalo and Gurpreet Singh Sonu said the massive turnout clearly showed that a Panthic party government would be formed in Punjab in the 2027 Assembly elections.
They said people want to see Bhai Amritpal Singh as the Chief Minister of Punjab, as he has strongly raised his voice against serious issues such as drug abuse and other social concerns.
Because of this, a large number of people voted for him and made him a Member of Parliament. They added that despite government efforts, public support for Akali Dal “Waris Punjab De” is continuously increasing.
