In compliance with the orders of the Hon’ble Punjab and Haryana High Court dated 17.04.2026, the Municipal Council (MC) Zirakpur today launched a massive drive to remove all illegally installed billboards, unipoles, bipoles, and gantries from areas where such structures are not permitted within MC limits.
Divulging details, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Urban Development) Anmol Singh Dhaliwal stated that the action has been initiated strictly in accordance with the directions of the Hon’ble High Court to ensure the removal of unauthorized advertising structures.
He further informed that, as per the orders of the Division Bench, a compliance report will be submitted before the next date of hearing, i.e., 08.05.2026.
The ADC added that the enforcement drive, led by Executive Officer, MC Zirakpur, Parvinder Singh Bhatti along with the municipal staff, has resulted in the removal of several illegal structures.
He emphasized that the drive will continue until full compliance with the Hon’ble High Court’s orders is achieved.
