Lovely Professional University (LPU) has once again proved its cultural excellence by winning the Overall Championship at the Punjab State Youth Festival 2025.
The four-day festival, held at GNDU, Amritsar, under the leadership of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Punjab, brought together universities from across the state to celebrate youth talent, creativity, and Punjab’s rich heritage. This is organized by department of youth services, government of Punjab.
LPU delivered an outstanding performance with 12 First Positions, 13 Second Positions and 12 Third Positions. With 2,500+ participants from 21 universities competing in 51 cultural and heritage events, the festival showcased extraordinary skill, enthusiasm and cultural pride. LPU secured 37 wins out of 51 competitions, making this a record-breaking victory.
LPU’s top achievements included gold wins in One act play, Skit, Pakhi Making, Nala Bunna, Gudiyan-Patole Making, Paranda Making, Innu/ Binnu, Muhaware Dar Bartalab, Still Life Painting, Kali, Orchestra and Lambi Hek Wale Geet. Students from various parts participated with great enthusiasm, proudly celebrating the diverse yet united spirit of Punjab.
Dr. Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice-Chancellor of LPU, received the overall trophy and congratulated students for their hard work and remarkable performance. Dr. Sandhu said that LPU always encourages students to grow as confident, creative and well-rounded individuals. He added that the festival plays an important role in bringing students together and helping them value and celebrate the artistic and cultural identity of Punjab.
LPU continues to take meaningful steps to promote cultural heritage among youth, ensuring that traditional art forms remain alive and appreciated by future generations.
