The Vice Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, has nominated Jalandhar-based Senior Chartered Accountant R.S. Kalra as a Senate member for two years.
It is an honor for Kalra to serve in this capacity, contributing to this esteemed institution’s governance and academic excellence.
Kalra earlier also served as a Senate Member of GNDU in 2014 brings a wealth of experience for his latest role.
He previously served as Chairman of the Jalandhar Branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
He was appointed as a Member of the Regional Tax Advisory Committee of CBDT, and has served on several committees including the Direct and Indirect Tax Committee, the Board of Studies of ICAI, and the Committee on Economic, Commercial Laws & WTO.
Kalra regularly contributes articles on Income Tax and Indirect Taxes in various newspapers and magazines.
His writings on Direct Taxes, featured on online portals like Tax Guru and CA Club India, have been read by over a million people across the country.
In addition to his contributions to education, Kalra remains actively associated with numerous social, religious, and educational institutions.
