Union Minister of state for Railways and Food processing today expressed satisfaction over performance of BJP in Jalandhar West bye-election in Punjab and said that BJP has performed better than Congress.
Bittu said that BJP was at second position and Congress is at third place which is shameful for PPCC to loose the public faith in just two weeks after winning Jalandhar parliament seat.
It is clear now that people have given preference to BJP after AAP which is losing its shine. He said that people of Punjab have liked the policies of Prime Minister Narender Modi.
He said that BJP candidate Sheetal Angural was threatened and blamed by ruling AAP during campaigning and even BJP voters were issued threats.
Bittu said that AAP has won the Jalandhar west seat by coercing voters, using unfair means, misusing government machinery particularly blatant misuse of police force.
He said that Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and all his cabinet ministers were camping in Jalandhar which is like using a cannon to kill a fly.
He said that BJP would emerge stronger day by day and will change the political equations in 2027 assembly elections.
