Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei delivered his first public sermon in five years, declaring that Iran’s missile attacks on Israel were “legal” and justified.
He also stated that Hamas’s attack on Israel on October 7, 2023, was “legitimate” in defense of Palestinian rights.
Khamenei warned that Iran would strike “occupied Palestine,” referring to Israel, again if provoked and emphasized that Iran has the right to defend itself against Israeli attacks.
Khamenei also supported Hezbollah’s actions against Israel, highlighting that Iran and its allies, including Hezbollah, would continue to challenge what he called their “enemies.”
He praised Hamas and Hezbollah for fighting for the rights of Palestinian Muslims, stating that their actions were justifiable in the ongoing conflict.
Despite Israel’s airstrike on September 27 that reportedly killed Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, Khamenei asserted that Nasrallah’s influence in the region would only grow.
