IAS Sakshi Sawhney launches pictorial work to promote Ludhiana Tiger Safari

Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Sakshi Sawhney, IAS launched significant Pictorial work depicting visuals of the Tiger preserved in Ludhiana Tiger Safari compiled in form of a Pictorial Brochure and Portrait highlighting the magnificent photographs of the Tiger namely “Aman” prepared by Author & Nature Artist Harpreet Sandhu in collaboration with District Administration Ludhiana & Department of Forest and Wild Life Preservation Punjab,

dedicated to International Tiger Day 2024 to mark the significance of Ludhiana Tiger Safari, promote theme of International Tiger Day 2024 “Call for Action” which aims towards underscoring the significance of tiger conservation and aims to raise awareness within the citizens of Ludhiana about the challenges faced by this majestic species, as Tigers also have a special place on Earth.

Deputy Commissioner Ludhiana Sakshi Sawhney, IAS acknowledged the sincere efforts of Harpreet Sandhu towards promoting Tiger Safari – Ludhiana Zoo through his meticulously crafted Pictorial Brochure and Portrait showcasing the visuals of Tiger namely “Aman” which will generate enthusiasm amongst citizens of Ludhiana to witness Tiger Safari – Ludhiana Zoo spread over an area of 56 hectares within the vicinity of Ludhiana City.

Divisional Forest Officer Wildlife Division Vikram Singh Kundra I.F.S applauded the great initiative by Harpreet Sandhu for his magnificent wildlife photography depicting Ludhiana Tiger Safari and stated that “Tiger Safari is the only Safari in Punjab and is well known tourist place in industrial city, Ludhiana.

It was started in the year 1988 to provide the citizens an opportunity to watch this majestic animal in a natural environment.

Nature Artist Harpreet Sandhu shared that his prime motive to compile the Pictorial Brochure is to inspire a deeper connection of Ludhiana citizens with the Tiger Safari and to galvanize their support towards conservation of National animal of our Nation.

Incharge Ludhiana Zoo Narinder Singh along with officials of Forest and Wild Life Preservation Punjab organized a special event wherein students of different schools from across the city who were appraised regarding the need to protect and conserve the endangered species of animals and the Pictorial brochure launched by DC Ludhiana was also distributed amongst the students as a souvenir of Ludhiana Tiger Safari dedicated to International Tiger Day 2024.
