The Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Sub-Inspector Sunil and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Kamal Singh, both stationed at Rewari’s Sadar Police Station, red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000 today.
A government spokesperson informed that the ACB team received a complaint alleging that the accused officers were demanding a monthly bribe from the complainant by threatening to file a false case under the Gambling Act.
After verifying the complaint, the ACB team planned an operation and apprehended both individuals red-handed while accepting the bribe money.
The entire process was conducted transparently in the presence of witnesses.
