A team of Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau has arrested 2 Haryana Home Guard jawans, Sanranjit Singh and Harvinder Singh, posted in Ambala district, while accepting a bribe of ₹10,000.
The accused were demanding a bribe from the complainant in lieu of not registering a false case against his brother and sister.
Giving information about this, the government spokesperson said that the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau team had received a complaint in this regard.
The complainant told that the accused Harjinder Singh and Saranjit Singh were demanding a bribe of ₹20,000 from him by threatening to register a false case against his brother and sister, out of which a bribe of ₹10,000 has already been taken by the accused.
In this case, the Anti-Corruption Bureau team investigated the facts and arrested both the accused red-handed while accepting the bribe. In this case, all the necessary evidence is being collected and investigated thoroughly.
A case has been registered against the accused under various sections in the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Ambala. The entire action was taken with transparency in the presence of witnesses.
The spokesperson of the bureau appealed to the general public that if any officer or employee demands a bribe for doing government work, then immediately inform the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau on toll-free numbers -1800-180-2022 and 1064.
