Guru Nanak Dev University is proud to welcome back its esteemed shooters, Mr Ashvarya Partap Singh Tomar and Sifat Kaur Samra who represented the Guru Nanak Dev University at the Paris Olympics 2024 for Shooting. Both students from the Department of Physical Education have made the university proud at the international level.
The shooters were warmly welcomed back to the GNDU campus by the Prof (Dr) Jaspal Singh Sandhu, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Palwinder Singh, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof (Dr) KS Kahlon, Registrar, Prof (Dr) PMS Bedi, Dean Student’s Welfare,
Dr. Amandeep Singh, Head, Physical Education Deparment, Dr Kanwarmandeep Singh, Incharge Sports, Dr. Baljinder Singh Bal, Associate Professor. On this occasion, Ms. Rajwinder Kaur, Shooting Coach was also present. They extended their heartfelt congratulations to both Olympian for their representation of GNDU on the international stage.
Mr Ashvarya Partap Singh Tomar and Sifat Kaur Samra demonstrated remarkable talent, dedication, and sportsmanship while competing at the Paris Olympics 2024. Their participation not only reflects their personal commitment but also highlights GNDU’s emphasis on nurturing sporting talent.
Both shooters showcased exemplary skills in Shooting at an event as prestigious as the Olympics, bringing honor not only to themselves but also to Guru Nanak Dev University. Their achievements stand as a testament to GNDU’s commitment towards holistic development through sports.
