Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) today celebrated 553rd Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev ji with full religious fervor.
Gurmat Samagams were organized in different Gurudwara Sahib in which Ragi Jathas recited Gurbani. Special Gurmat Samgat was organized at Bhai Lakhi Shah Wanzara Hall in Gurdwara Rakabganj Sahib complex in which Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprasth University Dr. Mahesh Verma, DSGMC President Harmeet Singh Kalka, General Secretary Jagdip Singh Kahlon, former President Manjinder Singh Sirsa joined thousands of pilgrims to pay obeisance at Gurmat Samagam.
Lauding Sikh community Speaker Om Birla said that he congratulates humanity on this pious day. He said that working as per teachings of Guru Sahib, Sikh community was serving humanity worldwide.
Addressing the gathering DSGMC President Harmeet Singh Kalka and General Secretary Jagdip Singh Kahlon said that this Prakash Purab of Guru Nanak Dev ji is celebrated by not Sikhs alone but in whole world. They said that due to COVID after a long period of two years sangat was celebrating Prash Purab on large scale this time.
They also said that DSGMC team was serving humanity working as per teachings of Guru Sahib. They said not only new project of Gurudwara Sahibs are being completed but with Medical services huge relief was being provided to people.They also said that Bala Sahib hospital will be dedicated to people before January 1, 2023 as all necessary sanctions have been received.
They said that team was also working for dharm prachar on large scale and programmes are being organized in name of 36 Saints whose gurbani is part of Guru Granth Sahib. They also informed that present team has also cleared huge arrears of school staff of GHPSs and this team has also started Inter School sports meet after a huge gap of 18 years.
On the occasion office bearers and members of DSGMC and other dignitaries were also present.
