Dr. Gurpreet Singh Wander, a renowned cardiologist, has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University and the Center for Medical Sciences, Faridkot.
The announcement regarding this appointment has been made by the Chief Minister Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann himself.
Giving information regarding this the CM said, renowned Cardiologist, Dr. Gurpreet Singh Wander has been appointed as Vice Chancellor of Baba Farid University and Center of Medical Sciences, Faridkot. I hope that under his leadership this institution will make a valuable contribution to public service.
It is worth mentioning that Health Minister Dr. Chetan Singh Jaudamajra and then VC of the University. After the unpleasant situation that arose during the visit of the Cabinet Minister between Dr. Raj Bahadur, Dr. Raj Bahadur VC. had resigned from the post after which the regular VC. was to be appointed.
Meanwhile, Dr. Avnish Kumar, Director of Medical Education, and Research, Punjab was given additional charge as Vice Chancellor on August 14.
