Actress Deepika Padukone has given fans another glimpse into her pregnancy journey with a light-hearted social media post that appears to reference her daughter Dua.
Deepika, who is expecting her second child with husband and actor Ranveer Singh, shared a video on Instagram Stories featuring a pregnant woman lifting her toddler despite the commonly advised restriction against heavy lifting during pregnancy.
The post carried the caption, “Don’t lift anything over 20 pounds while pregnant. Me this entire pregnancy,” along with a Spider-Man sticker. The shared clip is being seen as a playful reference to her daughter Dua, who is set to turn two.
While Deepika has recently avoided posting personal pictures of herself, she has continued to share relatable content highlighting the everyday experiences and challenges associated with pregnancy.
Earlier, the actress shared another humorous reel focusing on the frequent nighttime bathroom visits many pregnant women experience. The video showed a pregnant woman struggling to get up from sleep for another midnight trip to the washroom.
Deepika and Ranveer announced their second pregnancy in April this year through a social media post featuring their daughter Dua holding a pregnancy test kit with a positive result.
The couple, who dated for several years before marriage, tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at Lake Como, Italy, in November 2018.
On the professional front, Deepika is set to appear alongside Shah Rukh Khan in Siddharth Anand’s upcoming film ‘King’. She is also part of Atlee and Allu Arjun’s ‘Raaka’, which marks her first collaboration with the Telugu star.
