Today during an event held under the patronage of District Administration Hoshiarpur dedicated to “National Mango Day,” Komal Mittal, IAS Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur released a Documentary film and significant pictorial art depicting “A Tribute to Hoshiarpur’s Bountiful Mango Orchards” compiled in form of a Portrait and Brochure, highlighting the rich heritage and significance of Mango orchards of Kala Bagh,
Village Bhunga, Hoshiarpur, The documentary film and pictorial brochure has been prepared by Harpreet Sandhu, former Additional Advocate General Punjab, Author, Nature Artist & Heritage Promoter, in collaboration with the District Administration Hoshiarpur.
Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal, IAS after releasing the pictorial art work and documentary film said that Hoshiarpur is renowned for its verdant green cover and land that is ideally suited for a variety of fruit cultivation, particularly mangoes, which are not just a testament to region’s agricultural excellence but also a symbol of rich, natural heritage the Hoshiarpur boasts.
DC Hoshiarpur appreciated Nature Artist Harpreet Sandhu’s innovative work to highlight the significance of mango orchards of Hoshiarpur crafted through his photography skills on the eve of National Mango Day, which promotes the rich heritage of district Hoshiarpur to a wider audience which will help visitors to explore the mesmerizing natural locations of District Hoshiarpur.
Deputy Commissioner Hoshiarpur Komal Mittal, IAS also emphasized the importance of preserving and promoting local agricultural practices and traditions. “Our mango orchards are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our farmers.
It is essential that we continue to support and promote these practices, ensuring that future generations can also appreciate and benefit from our rich agricultural heritage.”
Harpreet Sandhu, stated that he has prepared documentary film “A Tribute to Hoshiarpur’s Bountiful Mango Orchards” with a sole aim to showcase the beauty and significance of Hoshiarpur’s mango orchards,
mesmerizing natural locations not only for the people of Punjab but around the globe and the pictorial brochure will be of immense interest for the tourists to explore the natural mango orchards of Hoshiarpur.
The unveiling of the portrait marks a significant moment in the celebration of National Mango Day, highlighting the unique cultural and agricultural identity of Hoshiarpur. The portrait will be displayed at the District Administrative Complex, serving as a symbol of pride and recognition for the region’s mango orchards and a glimpse for the daily visitors.
