CM Mann in Jalandhar; Congratulates party workers, volunteers for historic win

Jalandhar, July 24, 2024 (Yes Punjab News)

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, on Wednesday, reached Jalandhar to stay there and work from there for two days.

Mann, before by-election, opened an office in Jalandhar for the convenience of the people of Doaba and the Majha region and promised to keep the office even after elections. So fulfilling his promise, Mann will stay two days a week in Jalandhar where he will be addressing the problems of the people of Doaba and Majha region.

On the first day, CM Bhagwant Mann had a lunch meeting with the AAP volunteers and workers in Jalandhar where he congratulated them for historic victory in Jalandhar west by-poll.

Mann said that this win belongs to the hard working volunteers of the AAP who went to every doorstep of Jalandhar west and apprised people of the public welfare works of the AAP government.

He also thanked the workers on behalf of AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal and said that he celebrated this success of his volunteers in the jail. Mann said that it is also a tight slap on the faces of those who thought that they could finish the Aam Aadmi Party by putting Arvind Kejriwal in the jail.

Mann further said that the AAP does not come in surveys, no one predicted that Mohinder Bhagat will get around 60 thousand votes and we will win this seat by the margin of more than 37,000 votes, but people respect hard work and appreciate pro-people policies through their votes.

Mann said that during these elections he once again had meetings with the businessmen, traders, doctors, teachers and many people. So he came to know about the latest issues that need to be solved and the current problems of the people which need to be addressed. He said that it is one of the good things that came out of this election.

He also took a dig at Sheetal Angural and said that patience is very important. The people who get greedy, God doesn’t help them, instead he gives their place to someone ‘Bhagat’.

CM Bhagwant Mann urged the AAP volunteers to stay united and keep working for the ‘Rangla Punjab’. He said that internal disputes, when intentions are not honest, finish political parties, Shiromani Akali Dal is an example of it.

Mann said that the AAP is the youngest but the fastest growing political party in India and just in 10 years, we have government in two states, 10 Rajya Sabha MPs, 3 Lok Sabha MPs, Mayor in MP, Mayor in Chandigarh, five MLAs in Gujarat and two MLAs in Goa.

Mann said that our competitors are hundred year old parties but we have the most advanced and well trained volunteers who know how to work for the common people.

Mann said that he will stay two days a week in Jalandhar so that the people of Doaba and Majha don’t have to go to Chandigarh to get their work done. He said that he knows all the party workers by name who worked hard for the AAP’s win in this by-poll. All of them will get responsibilities in the organisation and the government to serve the people soon.

Mann said that his government’s schemes such as SSF, regularisation of temporary employees etc. proved to be successful too. He said that Punjab is a leader, it should lead in the sectors of education, health, development and infrastructure. He said that he is working on the same path to make Punjab the leader again.

He further said that the party will contest every big or small election in Punjab. He encouraged volunteers to get ready for four assembly constituency by-polls and local bodies’ elections. He said that when Arvind Kejriwal formed the AAP he said that we are not here to do politics but to teach it.

Now we are teaching politics to every opposition party. Mann once again thanked all the volunteers, party office bearers, chairmen, MLAs and other leaders for their hard work and congratulated MLA Mohinder Bhagat for his win. Through his X account, CM Mann once again thanked the voters of Jalandhar west.
