Taking yet another action against corruption, the Haryana Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) team has arrested an Assistant Registrar of the Cooperative Societies who also held the charge of General Manager, Integrated Co-operative Development Project (ICDP) on the charges of siphoning of funds to the tune of Rs 1.30 crore in ICDP Rewari office.
Sharing the information here today, an ACB spokesperson informed that the arrested accused has been identified as Annu Kaushik, Assistant Registrar and General Manager, ICDP Rewari.
It is noteworthy that Anti-Corruption Bureau Police Station Gurugram, in case FIR No. 21/2023, had registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act against the officers/officials of ICDP Rewari which was being investigated. About Rs 1.30 crore was siphoned off by the accused out of the financial grant of crores of rupees given by the state government for various works in ICDP Rewari. Record in this regard was obtained by the ACB. During the investigation, accused officer was arrested by the ACB Gurugram team.
Further investigation of the case is underway.
