AAP rulers fiddle in Gujarat, as Punjab suffocates with stubble fires: Raja Warring

Chandigarh, November 1, 2022 (Yes Punjab News)
Punjab Congress president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring today criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government in Punjab over the stubble burning across the state that has led to an alarming increase in pollution levels in the state.

“It is a classic case of Niro fiddling while Rome was burning”, Warring remarked, while pointing out, “as AAP rulers are fiddling in Gujarat fighting a losing battle, Punjabis have been left to suffocate with the stubble fires”.

The PCC president advised the AAP government that it should spare some time for Punjab also from its busy schedule in Gujarat so that pressing issues are also addressed in the state where people trusted them with their precious vote.

He reminded the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as how he would always blame Punjab farmers in the past for stubble burning and had claimed that when his government will be formed, he will provide the solution.

“What happened to your promise and what happened to your solutions?” he asked the Delhi Chief Minister, adding, “just because you have gone silent as you can no longer criticize the Punjab government, does not mean that the problem is over”.

Warring asked the government to spell out its policy on stubble burning. “You have not offered any solution to farmers and now when they are left with no option, you are slapping cases on them”, he pointed out.

He said that the government was now trying to pass on its own failure to the officials. Referring to their predicament, Warring said, while on the one hand the officials face hostile farmers, on the other hand they face an equally hostile government, which has suspended four of them so far for failing to prevent stubble burning.
