BJP national general secretary Tarun Chugh today lambasted Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann for politicising Republic Day function by raising flimsy issues.
Chugh said basically it has been endeavour of the AAP government to generate anti-Centre sentiments to cover up it’s dismal failure in governance.
He said there is a very transparent and well-defined system of selecting state tableau done by a committee formed by the Defence ministry.
Chugh said Punjab CM was playing politics to hide the failure of the state government to prepare a tableau in tune with the norms laid down by the theme of the Republic Day.
Chugh said even last year the AAP government had failed to address the theme which simply reflects how irresponsible and lax is the state governance.
He said the chief minister should stop using irresponsible language to cover up administrative failures.
He said for Prime Minister Narendra Modi it has been a top priority to address the issues of Punjab, be it Kartarpur sahib corridor or the Veer Bal Divas.
