In a significant achievement, the Haryana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) today arrested Junior Engineer Satyanarayan Bhardwaj and Architect Deepak, both posted at HSIIDC, IMT Manesar, Gurugram, while accepting a bribe of ₹1.25 lakh. The officials were apprehended while allegedly demanding the bribe in exchange for approving a building plan.
A government spokesperson revealed that the ACB received a complaint in which the complainant stated that Satyanarayan Bhardwaj and Deepak had demanded ₹1.25 lakh to approve a building plan at HSIDC, IMT Manesar.
Following an investigation, the ACB set up a trap and successfully caught both officials red-handed while accepting the bribe. The operation was conducted transparently in the presence of witnesses, and crucial evidence has been gathered to proceed with the case.
An FIR has been registered against the accused at the Anti-Corruption Bureau, Gurugram police station, and further investigation is underway.
