A day before Karwa Chauth, a pre-Karva Chauth program for Suhaganan was organized by Disha Women Welfare Trust (RJ) Punjab, an organization working for the welfare of women, under the leadership of Trust President Hardeep Kaur. In which a large number of working women from Tri City Chandigarh participated.
In the program, a lot of enthusiasm was seen among the women present from different fields about this program.
During the program, Madam Khushbu and Madam Rupanjali from the family of Constituency MLA Sardar Kulwant Singh were present as chief guests. On this occasion, while congratulating Suhagan on Karva Chauth, he also emphasized on women empowerment. Eminent social workers Jagjit Kaur Kahlon and Navdeep Kaur Mrs. India Superan National attended as special guests in the program.
Meanwhile, women were looking very beautiful in red silk and other colorful dresses. On this occasion, women entertained themselves by participating in tambola, cat walk, dance, singing and various other activities. During the program, famous folk singer R Deep Raman and MC Ramandeep Kaur played the role of judge.
Harsimrat Kaur Kahlo won the title of Mrs. Karva Chauth while answering the sharp questions of the judges. While Sarvjit Kaur Seerat got the title of second runner up and Ruchi Kathuria and Navjit Navi got the title of third runner up.
At the end of the program, the trust president Hardeep Kaur congratulated the women present on the festival of Karva Chauth and also encouraged them to take care of their in-laws as well as their parents. Along with this, 21 women who have contributed in various fields were honored by the trust by giving flowers and other honors.
